Life Coaching is a fast growing profession that Kelly Walden at The Walden Group, Inc. offers to individuals, couples and businesses in private or public settings. The Industry has grown since the 1990's from the executive level to the private level. People find that they tend to be more accountable in their lives when getting coaching support in order to be happy, healthy and whole. Life coaching sessions are designed to give people personal direction based on their goals and timelines.  

Your coach will work with you to pinpoint and work through obstacles, fears and limited thinking. This is the formula for making positive changes in your life. Your coach will help you develop new skills and strategies for attaining your goals. You will receive encouragement and positive support while also learning to be accountable to yourself. This is your opportunity to focus on you, your dreams and your aspirations. It is very rewarding and fun!

In life coaching, there are various aspects of life that we look at to determine success. In each category, a certain measure could be given, perhaps from a range of -10 to +10.

  • Fun and recreation
  • Other…..

Where do you see yourself in each category? Are there areas that you feel like are going well, and then those where you are floundering? This is completely normal and an expected answer. There are numerous examples of those in the public eye who will achieve great things, and then have their personal lives crumble. It can be difficult to give sufficient attention to each area of life. Also, it can be very common to be functioning at a high level in one area, only to plummet to the negatives in that same area in the very next instant. An unexpected loss of a job, a stock plummet, an affair by a spouse, the death of a loved one; these are usually unexpected events that change our rating on a happiness and fulfillment scale in an instant.

There is no way to be completely prepared for these disastrous events in life, but taking the time to focus on positive change in life coaching is an important way to preserve peace in unsettling times. When we are not experiencing a trauma, and have time to focus on ourselves and our goals, it is important to do so. It may feel selfish or even like a waste of time, but creating more emotional health and peace for yourself is of great benefit to those around you as well.

Life Coaching is focused on making lifestyle changes in the present and goal setting for the future. Whereas the focus of psychotherapy is based on the causes and treatment of traumas and issues from the past. Life Coaching is designed for people who want to make specific changes in their lives and want the support of their own personal coach to help them achieve more in a shorter amount of time. It is goal oriented and solution focused. Life Coaching is an ongoing professional relationship that can help you to produce extraordinary results in your life, career and / or businesses.

HOW COACHING WORKS

The synergy between you and your coach creates momentum and enthusiasm by providing you with positive support, plans, tools and encouragement. Your autonomy is always respected, and while your coach might challenge you to think differently or suggest that you try a different or even more radical approach to something than you normally would, you ultimately decide whether or not to implement the suggestions. Your Coach is your trusted support and greatest cheer leader!

FREQUENCY OF COACHING SESSIONS

The frequency of your sessions are determined by you and your Coach. Coaching sessions are available via phone, ZOOM, SKYPE, in office or can be done off site in groups. Bottom line is that coaching works! It is a proven technique to help people attain positive changes and results they desire.
